Mbappé set to leave France camp after injury in Zidane debut win

Kylian Mbappé scored but then suffered an injury during France's 1-0 Nations League win over Türkiye in Zinedine Zidane's first game in charge.

Zinedine Zidane's debut as France manager brought a narrow victory but also concern over Kylian Mbappé. The forward found the net early in the second half to secure the 1-0 result away in Türkiye. However, he was forced off shortly afterwards with what appeared to be a muscle issue. Mbappé is now expected to depart the national team camp for further assessment back home.

The Nations League fixture marked a new era for the French side under their new boss. Despite the positive result, the injury to their star player overshadowed the evening. France had controlled much of the game before the late drama unfolded on the pitch.
