Folarin Balogun scored twice as the United States started their World Cup with a strong 4-1 win against Paraguay.
The Americans looked sharp from the outset in their opening match. Balogun found the net on two occasions to put his side in control. Gio Reyna added a stunning late goal to seal the victory and mark the largest World Cup win for the US since 1930. Paraguay managed a late consolation but could not stop the American dominance on the day.
